We've just created a photo gallery in Flickr. You can see it following the menu link or going to this url: www.flickr.com/photos/af7/sets/
We are uploading AF7 2008 photos the next days. Take a look.
We'd like to remember that in order to comment the photos (we love to hear from you) you need a flickr account.

The 13th edition of Arousa Fútbon 7 has just finished. We think it's been very successful and we hope you liked it

Valencia Champion!

Talking about sport, we had a high level competition with a lot of teams fighting for the title in similar conditions. There were good players in any of the eight teams that were still alive on Sunday, in the quarterfinals: PSG vs. Benfica, Borussia Dortmund vs. FC Internazionale, Valencia vs. Espanyol and Real Madrid vs. Sevilla. Maybe we missed someone with an exceptional level, like the ones before (Ongenda, Paredes, Lamela, Krkic...), but there is no doubt that everyone of these teams is very powerful. Valencia won the final against Inter (2 - 1), but the teams had an extremely similar level ( the two semifinals were won on the penalties shootout) and the main actors could easily have been another (Benfica, Sevilla, Real Madrid...)

For the organization, AF7 2008 created new challenges that became a great stress for the members of the organization: starting with the new format with 24 teams (1st time this year), dealing with the TV, or even dealing with ourselves... Sometimes because we had new goals (and we still don't know if they were successful...) like the idea of following the tournament via SMS, or the bet for an extensive video documentation of the insides of AF7. And other times we start to acknowledge that the tournament has got bigger, maybe bigger than we think and it needs a cuantity of effort and hands (if we want to make it right) that we find very difficult to obtain.

And this last paragraph is meant to be a tribute to a group of people who were a key part of AF7 2008, coorganizators and partners for about a week: a group of inmates from A Lama and their guards, without who (and no doubt on this) this championship would have been totally impossible to fulfill the way it was. Thank you.
